The next generation of Toadfish Spinning Rods has arrived—redesigned from the ground up to be lighter, stronger, and more sensitive than ever before. The Carbon Elite II series features a 25% weight reduction from the original series, delivering faster reactions, longer casts, and less fatigue over long days on the water.
Crafted with 40-ton high-carbon graphite blanks, these rods strike the perfect balance between refined finesse and raw stopping power—whether you're launching topwaters at tailing reds or hauling a trophy snook from the mangroves. The sleek new look combines a dark carbon weave blank with an all-carbon reel seat and butt, accented by soft-touch rubber inlays for unmatched grip and comfort.
The upgraded, threadless reel seat enhances ergonomics and further cuts down weight, while the Fuji K-guides tangle-free frames ensure flawless line management in harsh saltwater environments.

That’s awesome! Love seeing the Carbon Elite II out there catching reds, and that video is such a great view. Thanks for sharing and we hope you enjoy the rod for many more fishing trips! 🎣
Very sensitive yet serious!! I've been using these rods for years now and they just never fail me!
I have have the Toadfish OG rod and it serves as my skinny water heavy hotter for live/cut bait, but I needed something lighter for throwing cast after cast! This rod doesn’t disappoint! Light, responsive, and comfortable! Caught well over 20 fish in a couple hour period and it handled em like a champ!
My Oldest Son loves it!!! His first fish On this Combo was a 22 1/2" Sheep Head.....AKA Convict.....🐑....We would love to try your other products and we fish Tournaments around our Area...anything far a sponser would be awsome......
Fantastic rod! I put one my older 2000 size reels on it for now and it performs amazing down inshore Charleston area. Hoping to pair it with a Toadfish reel very soon.
Bought the two piece rod, due to short cabin space in my car.
7.2 (x-fast) is a good starter for the jig pole, best would be 7.6, 7.8 or even 8 footer (for the off the boat fishing).
Two piece rods are as sensitive as a single piece one.
I was able to feel the "nab" from 10 inch speckle trout and land it. I did feel constant nabbing from the tiny mangrove snappers at every cast.
I do use 15lbs braid with 15 lbs flr. with 1/4 jig + plastic.
Rod build and look quality is great. So far no cons; but ,exclusively personally, I would prefer a bit longer rod as the jigging pole.
I have to say the Carbon Elite 2 is a great rod. It is lighter and feels stronger on the hookset. To be honest I prefer the reel seat of the original
That may change with more use. Overall a fantastic rod.
Pulled in a few 20+ inch New Jersey sheepshead on the convict rod! Handled like a dream around pilings and had plenty of backbone to get the big ones off structure.

Thanks for the honest feedback! The grip is definitely a little different, so we appreciate you giving it a shot and sharing your thoughts with us. 🎣
Feels like a great rod, havent used it quite yet. If any of my bass spinning rods snap i will be looking into this as a replacement just for the way the grips feel in hand.

Thanks for giving it a try! We’re glad you’re already loving the feel of the grip, and we hope you get plenty of time to put it to the test. 🎣
Paired this rod with a 3000 series Stradic. Just got a chance to fish with it last week. Throwing frogs and soft fluke baits. Defintely feels great, has good sensitivity and a fast action. Switching between my two spinning setups was fun. Other setup is a Stradic on a G loomis 7 ft Conquest. Id have to say, I donr recall being partial to the setups, just bait preference. Thats pretty dang impressive. Great rod, cant wait to hook up on some big florida panhandle Bass on this thing
Strong, dependable yet with great feel for the soft bites. Just what I was looking for in a finesse rod that can handle big fish. So far up to 7 lb bass in the wooded waters of Lake Fork. Another friend, 81 years old and a great fisherman, just won our club tournament with these rods on only his second time out after converting from casting rods.
Make your stuff available through Amazon, mainly, because you guys don't ship to Alaska and Hawaii. By the way, Anchorage Int Airport ranks #1 in the United States for air cargo volume, and 3rd in the world. The fact you guys don't ship to Alaska is a bunch of Bullshit.
Cheers
Arrived damaged. Toadfish replied immediately and sent a new one right out. Will absolutely use this company again and recommend them highly. Great local company that stands behind their products with service and integrity. Beyond that, my son loves his new rod!
Item arrived quickly and was packaged extremely well.
The overall quality of the Carbon Elite II is quite nice. Good attention to detail.
I like the feel in hand, however I think the hand grip could be upgraded to a more comfortable, dense EVA material.
